The competition is set in a Korean village and seeks solutions for the reconstitution of residential facilities, the rehabilitation of older buildings and the insertion of new constructions. It focuses on the former warehouses of Nonghyup and former children’s centers in Sari-Myeon, Goesan-Gun Chungcheongbuk-Do.
The new building aims to collect the library under one roof, to ensure its comfortable and smooth working process and to create a new and attractive public space in the centre of Varna at the same time.
The competition is for the design of an extension connecting the Alvar Aalto Museum and the Museum of Central Finland, and the surrounding outdoor area. The aim is to develop these two key Aalto works to form an attractive, high-quality museum centre.
‘Design a Beautiful House’, is an International Design Competition that seeks beautiful, high quality design proposals for a new home. ‘My home’ is located on a 91 ha site set within London’s metropolitan green belt. It will be home to 7 people with varying requirements. Whilst Entrants should be mindful of its context, it shouldn’t unduly constrain the thinking or imagination necessary to develop a work of art.
The Finnish State Art Commission invites artists to an open art competition, the aim of which is to find proposals for a work of art to the site of Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. The proposed work does not need to be a permanent, traditional monument but a piece of art that stirs new ideas and debate and even inspires people to proactivity.
The students will be invited to design a mobile isolation, diagnosis and/or treatment unit for use in Ebola or other communicable disease epidemics. The vehicle should be designed to insure the transport of patients to the appropriate care facilities.
