We are pleased to invite you to the seminar „Norwegian and Estonian Timber Architecture“ followed by the opening of Wenche Selmer’s exhibition „Norwegian Wood“.
Norwegian and Estonian architects reflect upon traditional and modern trends of timber architecture, its interplay with the surroundings and how it meets people’s expectations. The importance of good architecture in one of Estonia’s largest export sectors will be discussed and young architects will speak about innovative solutions in new Estonian timber architecture, quality of wooden spaces and its technological options.
The seminar will be held in the White Hall of the Brotherhood of Blackheads House 14:00-17:45 with simultaneous Estonian-English translation followed by the opening of Wenche Selmer’s exhibition „Norwegian Wood“ in the Gallery of Design and Architecture at 18:00.
